TNTET Paper-I (for classes I-V): Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). Or Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. Or Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). Or Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education). Or Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). Or Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,). Minimum Educational Qualifications to write TNTET Paper- II (for classes VI-VIII).(Graduate teacher (Related subjects, Tamil, English and other than Tamil and English languages)) Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). Or Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). Or Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations. Or Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). Or Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed. Or Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education). Or Any candidate
having qualified B.Ed. the program, recognized by the NCTE is eligible to
appear in TNTET. Moreover, as per existing TET guidelines circulated vide
NCTE letter dated 11.02.2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher
education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be)
specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified
to appear in the TNTET. |

Application Fee |
The Examination fee
is Rs. 500/- for all the candidates except SC, SCA, ST, and Person with
Disability. For SC, SCA, ST, and Person with Disability Candidates, the
examination fee is Rs. 250/-. Since the examination fee is different for
various categories, candidates are advised to enter the correct Community /
Person with Disability category. Once the payment is made, it will not be
refunded. Online payment to
be made only through Payment Gateway. (Net banking/Credit Card / Debit Card) Offline mode of
payment in any form such as Demand Draft / Postal order, etc. will not be
accepted. The candidates, who
want to appear for both Paper-I and Paper-II, should pay separately for both. |

Selection Process |
Written Exam: The
date, time, and center for the Written Examination will be indicated in the
Hall Ticket. The Hall Tickets for the eligible candidates will be uploaded by
the TRB on its official website. The candidates are advised to refer to the
TRB website for details (http://www.trb.tn.nic.in). No written communication
will be sent to the candidate. |
